Count the promises you've been handed this year.

Ten steps. Thirty days. A new you by summer.

Somebody's course, somebody's protocol, somebody's routine that was finally going to close the gap between you and the person you were supposed to be by now.

Promises are infinite because promises are free.

So this week I didn't make one. I did the opposite. I wrote down everything you will never get from me, and I made it permanent.

A few of them:

You will never hear that you're broken. The whole industry runs on that one sentence, and its repeat customer is a failure it counts as a win. You're not broken. You're buried. Buried things don't need repair. They need weight removed.

You will never see a countdown timer here. Your nervous system already lives inside a fire drill someone else scheduled. The one thing I can actually give you is the absence of one more siren.

You will never be sold to at 2am in a bad week. The free work carries the full message. If you never spend a dollar here, you still got the whole mirror.

There are ten of these. Writing them cost something, and keeping them keeps costing something. That's the point. A promise costs nothing until later. A refusal costs something every single day.

You can't verify a claim. You can verify a no.

And here's the part that was never about me.

You have a list like this. You've just never written it down. The urgency that isn't yours. The label that fit five years ago. The room you keep entering because leaving would require a sentence you haven't practiced saying out loud.

Reading my list won't write yours. But it might show you where yours starts.

The full list lives here now, permanently: truevitalyou.com/not

No timer on it. It will say the same thing next month, and the month after that.

That's the point too.
