You know what happened today. Most of it, anyway.
The disaster three time zones away. The outrage that will be replaced by Thursday's outrage. You kept up. You always keep up.
Now find what the knowing produced.
Not one thing you did differently. There was nothing to do. That's the shape of most of what you carry now: information with no lever attached.
One man who finally cut the feed listed what the keeping-up had cost him. Not being present when playing with his son was on the list. So was the state a session left him in, which he compared to how the body feels after fast food. Full, and worse off.
Another put it flatter: knowing these things helped nobody he knew. It just drained the part of him they actually needed.
The people in your house have been covering the cost of everything you follow and cannot change.
The one thing:
One input tonight that has an off switch. Use it. Not forever. One evening.
Then notice who gets the hour back.

P.S. I finished my 30-day Ash Journal run on July 30. In public, one page a day, no edits, all thirty.
Five minutes. One prompt. One line of ash. The first seven days are free: truevitalyou.com/journal
